TNEA 2026 Counselling Dates & Application Form

Anna University conducts the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) every year for students seeking admission to undergraduate engineering programs such as B.E. and B.Tech. It is a state-level admission and counselling process through which seats are allocated in various government and private engineering colleges affiliated with Anna University. Unlike entrance-based systems, TNEA admissions are determined purely by Class 12 marks. Based on these scores, a merit list for TNEA 2026 is prepared, and eligible candidates are considered for seat allotment.

The TNEA 2026 counselling process will be carried out in three rounds. Students who have completed or are appearing for their 10+2 examinations are eligible to apply. Admissions will be based on marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, which are normalized to a total of 200 marks (Mathematics: 100, Physics: 50, Chemistry: 50).

The counselling procedure involves multiple stages, including online registration, allocation of random numbers for tie-breaking, certificate verification, publication of the rank list, and the counselling process itself. During counselling, candidates must complete steps such as choice filling, seat allotment, confirmation of their allotted seat, reporting to the assigned college or TNEA Facilitation Centre (TFC), and payment of fees based on their final selection.
