Adiya Chandra — Two Years of Profile Building
Joined in Class 9 · Currently Class 11Adiya joined the Profile Building programme with Ajay Zener while in Class 9. Over the past two years she has built an outstanding resume across music, sport, research and innovation.
A western classical vocalist, she was advised to take the Trinity Grade Certification in Western Classical Music, which she has completed up to Level 4. Alongside this she has been active in athletics, building a profile in the 100m, 200m and relays.
On our advice she applied to YRSI, and we supported her application and essays. She went on to complete her internship, "Strengthening School-Based Mental Health Support Systems in India," under the guidance of the Aikyam Foundation. Adiya also won the Best Project Award at the CBSE Skill Expo in Mangalore for her Phocus Helmet concept, which is now being submitted for a patent.
I started working with Ajay Sir for profile building in 9th standard, and he has guided me at every step. He first helped me understand how I could build my profile around my own interests instead of just collecting certificates.
He helped me with my music certifications and encouraged me to take part in YRSI. I worked on a project there, and I was so happy when it was selected as the Best Project!

When should my child start profile building?
The earlier the better, ideally Class 9 or 10. Starting early gives your child the time to explore interests, take on real projects and grow into leadership, so their profile is deep and authentic rather than rushed.
Do you provide the internships, competitions and programmes?
No. This is an advisory and mentoring service. We guide students on what to pursue, how to approach it and how to build a strong profile, but we do not provide, arrange or place students into internships, competitions, research programmes, summer schools or awards. Students apply for and secure these themselves, with our guidance.
Is this only for students planning to study abroad?
No. A strong profile helps with admission to top universities both in India and abroad, and with scholarships. Many selective Indian programmes now value more than just marks too.
What exactly does profile building involve?
It covers research projects, olympiads and competitions, internships, community and social-impact work, leadership, summer programmes, awards, personal projects and the development of the student’s personal story, all planned to fit together.
Will this take time away from academics?
Not if it is planned well. We build a realistic, grade-wise roadmap that fits around schoolwork, so profile building strengthens the application without hurting academic performance.
