The Solid State Physics Laboratory (SSPL), located in Timarpur, Delhi, is a premier laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The laboratory conducts advanced research in semiconductor materials and devices, contributing to the development of critical technologies for defence and national security. Through its Paid Internship Program, SSPL invites applications from bright and motivated students to participate in research projects of national importance. Eligible fields include Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Quantum Technology, Laser Optics, Semiconductor Devices, Information Technology, and Computer Science. Applicants should have a strong academic background and an interest in semiconductor technologies, advanced materials, and defence-related research. Selection for the internship is based on an interview process, and only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the final interaction.
